Alex defended her master's thesis on 'Pismo clams in California: population status, habitat associations, reproduction and growth' on May 1st. She has worked with over a hundred local volunteers, mentored over a dozen undergraduates, and has made incredible contribution to our understanding of Pismo clam biology & factors influencing population recovery.

We are excited to announce that Alex is starting her PhD studying the ecology and population dynamics of the Virginia oyster at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science this summer.

Congratulations Alex!
